Does Unprotected Sex Despite Being On Levonorgestrel Cause Missed Periods And Pregnancy?
Question: We had unprotected sex on 22 july. before this, i (female) had taken a medicine to get my periods early as we live in different countries. my periods ended on 21st july.
within 20 hours of this happening i took ecp - 0.75mg Levonorgestrel, 2 tabs at the same time. i sexual activity is infrequent, i had taken this medicine after many years.
my normal period date is around 18/19 which i missed in aug
i have done 2 home pregnancy tests at 2 week intervals both are negative but still no periods.
i am 38/he is 51.
can you pls advise if there is a possibility of being pregnant or what could be reason for missing periods. and if its due to the pill then how long should i wait

If your periods ended on 21st july and you had sex on 22nd july 2017 then it is your safe period.You cant get pregnant for that particular act of sex.Also you took emergency contraceptive on time.You are not pregnant.
Reason for missing periods can be due to hormonal fluctuations. You can try meprate for three days and stop after consulting your gynecologist. You will get your periods within 7 days of stopping meprate. Take it under guidance of a gynecologist.
