Will Bleeding During Pregnancy Lead To Miscarriage?

sir,my wife is 17 weeks pregnant,suddenly last night she was bleeding,not heavely.today doctors done an ultrasound says baby is all right but she has a low placenta and she is admitted in a hospital now.bleeding is very little now.doctor said they should observe her for 48 hours.is there any threat for miscarraige?

THIS IS DUE TO LOW LYING PLACENTA WHICH MAY SEPARATE PARTIALLY PRODUCE THIS TYPE OF ON AND OFF BLEEDING.

STRICT BED REST AND TOCOLYTICS WILL HELP TO PREVENT FURTHER BLEEDING.

THE PLACENTA WILL MIGRATE DURING GROWTH OF UTERUS.

SHE NEED REGULAR FOLLOW UP SCAN TO MONITOR THIS.
