Will Betaine Supplement Help In Reducing Diarrhea Due To Pancreatitis?
My 62 yr.old husband has chronic pancreatitis and takes an enzyme prescription at meal time (which we try to keep low fat).But he still loses weight- down to 170lbs.from 190-and has frequent boughts of diarrhea.Will a betaine supplement taken in addition to the prescription help or hurt at least with the diarrhea

I really appreciate your concern, passing of the stool three to four time in day some time considered as normal one, if not associated with other symptoms, like fever, vomiting, abdomen pain or it is due to infection if such factors are not there then it is nothing to worry, and not even need to add anything with the medicine has taking, loosing of the weight is not remarkable or significant so it is nothing to worry, loosing of weight may be due to geriatric related, hope this information helps.
