Will Udiliv 300 Help In Treating Gall Bladder Stones?

My mom has recently been diagnosed with multiple stones or calculi in her gall bladder. She's been taking udiliv300 now and the doctors have asked her to keep taking it for ten days or so and then maybe they'll go with laparoscopy. The largest size of the stone is 8mm. Will the medicine help? or will we have to go with the whole removal of the gall bladder?

Hello,

Udiliv 300 works by reducing the cholesterol production and dissolving cholesterol so it can not form any stones in the gallbladder. These tablets are very effective in dissolving gall stones especially the cholesterol gallstones. Usually, it needs two or three months to dissolve the gallstones.

If your mother doesn't have any symptoms like pain in her right quadrant area, nausea, or vomiting due to the pain, fever, or elevated liver enzymes, or if the walls of the gallbladder aren't thickened (in few words, infection of the gallbladder). I suggest that your mother waits two or three months before doing the surgery (10-15 days won't dissolve the stones). After this time, she will need to do another ultrasound to check the walls of the gallbladder, the size of the stones, liver enzymes, etcetera.

Meanwhile, she needs to have these changes in her diet, to prevent an infection of her gallbladder or symptoms like pain.
-A low-fat diet (vegetables, potato, pasta and rice with oil-free sauces, grilled or steamed fish)
-Plenty of water
-Avoid alcohol
-Avoid concentrated fats like oil, butter, margarine, fat on meat or avocado
