Will Actalin Boost TSH Levels While On Levothyroxine?

Greetings, my TSH is 0.87 which appears to be low because the range for TSH is 0.10-5.50 I ordered the Actalin and I also take Levothyroxine 0.175 will the Actalin help boost or have no effect on my TSH. I feel like the question was asked and answered already, but I thought I would ask again :-)

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi & Welcome to HCM.

Actalin is a natural dietary supplement which claimed to support your optimal thyroid health.
However, it has no effect on TSH level when taken along with Levothyroxine in the treatment of Hyporthyroidism.

The recommended TSH range for the effective treatment of Hypothyroidism while taking Levothyroxine should be between 0.4 - 4 mIU/mL.
TSH level should be evaluated at least 4 - 6 weeks after an adjustment in the Levothyroxine dosage.

Hope to have answered your query.

Best regards.
