Why My Kid Have Reoccuring Ear Infections?

My son is 7 years old he has had 4 sets of Ear tubes since he was 11 months old for reoccuring ear infections. The last surgery he had is Adnoids removed as well. He was diagnosed with Swimmers ear the second week of July and was given amoxicillin and an ear drop for 10 days. after 3 days of finishing the antibotic he started having Lime Green drainage from his left ear. I took him back to the Dr and they gave him Omnisef for 10 days. His ear is still Lime Green and is hurting him. What do i do?

ENT Specialist 's  Response
Hello,
There could be a perforation in the ear drum.
The most important thing is that you prevent water entering inside his ears during bath etc.
His ears need to be cleaned by ent specialist as the discharge needs to be cleaned otherwise will take much time and antibiotics to get dried up. From the ear discharge ear swab can be taken for the organism and culture sensitivity can be done ,so that proper antibiotics can be planned for.
After getting the ear cleaned then if required ear drops can be given or another option is that you get the ear cleaned daily and take oral antibiotics.
In doubt do reply
