Hi,I am Dr. Prabhakar Koregol (Cardiologist). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
My heart keeps missing a beat. I have two innocent heart murmurs. This happened to me ten years ago. I had a stress test, echo, and ekg. They were all fine. I had another echo 4 years ago when I was pregnant, they suspected mitral valve prolapse. But I was fine then too. Can it be that I havent gotten enough sleep for the past two days? I do have primary htn, but I take lisinopril and it is controlled.
Skipped beats with normal heart function can be sinusarrhythmia which looks like a skipped heartbeat. I'll recommend you to get a HOLTER done to check for any life-threatening arrhythmia.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Take care
Regards,
Dr Bhanu Partap, Cardiologist
