Why Is My Son's Tonsil Is Abnormal In Size, Texture And Colour?

My 18 year old son has dermatomyositis and just had his tonsils removed. One is extremely abnormal in size, texture and color. The doctor tested for malignancy and I am wondering what cross-over diseases cuold be tested for. i.e does lupus affect the tonsils this way?

ya lupus can affect but it is a systemic disease and ll affect both tonsils not just one.. send the tonsils removed for tissue biopsy, both in a seperate jar..
