Why Feeling Tired After Taking Metoprolol After Inserting Stent?
My husband is taking metoprolol er succinate (25mg 1/day)after having a stent put in and it makes him very tired. Does he absolutely have to take this along with baby aspirin(81mg 1/day), atorvastatin(20mg 1/day) and Brilinta(90mg 2/day)? Most people feel energized after the stent implant, but not my husband. The nurse told me it is to protect his heart. Yet he never had a heart attack, so I don t know what needs protection. What does the metoprolol actually do?

one of the side effects of metoprolol is muscle tiredness.
I would advise you to talk with your doctor, there may be a need either for dose decrease, or withdrawal of metoprolol.
