Why Does Stretch Marks Protrude Suddenly?

I am a healthy 26 year old that has had 2 kids. I have been using a sugar scrub and vitamin e oil afterwards to help with my stretch marks but all of the sudden the stretch marks on my stomach have started to protrude. Now they look even worse than before. Why!?
