Why Does Hayfever Worsen After Rainfall?

hi, i'm 40 yrs old, female, have suffered from hayfever (allergy to ragweed pollen) since i was 13. i was wondering if there is any scientific explanation for why my hayfever would get so much worse when it rains. it doesn't make any sense to me but my symptoms are 100 times worse when it rains. and, no, i'm not allergic to mold.

It difficult to think rainfall could have any severe physiologic influences on your immune system. Kind regards
