Why Does HIV Tests Always Show Negative In A Person?

During the week of 20 Nov 2010 , my wife had a rerrible flu with headaches . On the 8th of Dec we both had a finger prick HIV Test and her result was positive whilst mine was negative . We again has a confirmatory test , Western Blot on the 31st of Jan 2011 and the results were the same and her CD4 count was 598 . I also had another finger pric test 31st March and my result was still negative .. I am i such a difficult situation . Could she have been infected 3 years before we me ? Why would my test always be negative ?

Hi, dear.
I have gone through your question. I can understand your concern. But it is not always necessary that if your wife is hiv positive then you are also positive. You may be in window period or may be negative also. You should use proper safety precautions. And go for repeat test after sime interval. No need to worry. just be relaxed.
Hope I have answered your question, if you have doubt then I will be happy to answer.
Thanks for using health care magic. Wish you a very good health.
