Why Do I Smell Blood While Coughing?

I am an 18 year old male, 6'2", 130 lbs. I do not have any serious medical history aside from allergies to toxins in the air. I have not taken any prescribed medication, nor have I taken any medication at all for several years now as I hope to build my body's natural immune system. I have bronchitis, and have had the infection for almost a week now. Recently, when I cough, I smell blood, but I never see blood. Should I be alarmed?

HI
Thank for asking to HCM
I really appreciate your concern let me tell you that the smell that you experience during coughing may not be the blood smell but the chances of purulent sputum smell is very likely, in my opinion, as you stated here for bronchitis then this could be bacterial infection and this need to be investigated and treated accordingly, take care and have a nice day.
