General & Family Physician, Dr. Lohit K's Response
Hi,
The contusion depends on the injury. The new one might have developed quite later but the region had injured when he/she was pushed. Contusion will disappear in time with treatment. Use sterile dressing and can take NSAID like ibuprofen with serratiopeptidase for pain and swelling. Adhere to the doctor treatment. Some of the investigations like xray and scanning may require to check for ant tissue or bone injury.
