Why Am I Having Numbness In My Legs, Buttocks And Vagina?

I have Crohn's Disease and recently went off of CIMZIA (an injectible medication for arthritis that helps crohn's patients) as I developed a bone tumor (one of the side effects of the CIMZIA) as well as suffered from numerous skin issues - lesions, dermatitis, suspected pyroderma ?noso, and fissures and suspected UTI (negative). i now believe i am still suffering from a fissure doc saw couple weeks ago. At that time i had lesions in my vagina that were suspected pyroderma ?? which has healed. I saw my GI, general practitioner, gynocologist and pain management doc about those issues. Right afterwards the numbness started in my feet. Since then it goes all the way up to my ankles in both legs and up my left leg to my thigh. My buttocks and outer vagina are also numb. Going on three weeks now.

Hi, thanks for posting your concern in the HCM.

I think you are having neuropathy. That may be pressure symptom, because of pressure on nerve roots by narrowing of spinal outlets or space occupying lesion e.g. tumours or may be due to neuropathy from other reasons, even from medications.

I think you may take vitamin supplementation rich in vitamin B complex and antioxidant e.g. Bevon cap once daily or Pregabalin+Mecobalamine (75mg/750mg) e.g Pregaba-M cap once daily after consulting the treating doctor. However, a detailed clinical examination is needed to rule out the underlying reason. So, you should consult the treating doctor at the earliest.

Hope you are satisfied with my answer. If you have any further query related to this, please write back.

Hi,Dear,Thanks for your query to HCM.
Dear I read your query and reviewed it with context to your query facts.
I understood your health concerns and feel Concerned about them.

Based on the facts of your query, you seem to suffer from-
Cimzia(Certolizumab) induced Bilateral sciatica with peripheral neuritis.this is caused by the demyelinating neuropathy due to anti-TNF drugs.
Anti -TNF drugs thus cause peripheral neuritis which has caused Sciatica.
Inj.Neurobion with chymoral Forte x 10 days followed by oral x 2 times
With Folic acid-50 mgm, would take care of this numbness, which would regress over 2 weeks time and this remission in neuritis needs to be maintained with continued vitamin supplements.

Hope this would help you to solve your health issues in the best way possible.
Welcome for any further query in this regard.

Good Day!!
