Why Am I Having Abdominal Pain With Mucus Or Blood During Bowel Movements ?
I have been experiencing abdominal pain for approx a week, not too painful but more of an ache and have not been having as many bowel movements as usual but when i do go i have either mucus or blood in it. do i need to get this checked over?

most likely you are suffering from dycentry.it is water borne or food borne.maintain food hygiene .you may try with metronidazole three times a day and tiemonium sulfate for a couple of days,drink ample of water. hope that it will suffice.

welcome to hcm,it looks exacitly,amoebic colitis/giardiasis due pathogen,entamiba histolitica/giardialambla respectivelt,this condition although responds to many drugs,given for a period of 14days but cyst eradication is problem some,unless patient takes luminal cyst eradication drugs like dialoxinate furate.---------------------------------tab metrogyl-F 1bd for 10-14 days,the worst seniaro of this combition is nausea,metalic taste,1mustnot take alcohol during therapy.------hope you will respond.think of anything other possible causes is only after this treatment.all the best.
