Why am I experiencing pain along my right side pelvic are to the leg after undergoing a surgery for dermoid cyst ?
Hi, I am 28 yrs old and i had a surgery last month to remove a 5cms dermoid cyst from my right ovary . I was feeling better until a few days back i started to experience pain along my right side, pelvic area to the leg. This pain is similar to the pain i had before the cyst was removed. What could be causing this pain? Is it because the cyst has grown again? Please help.
I am 33 years old and had a 7cm dermoid cyst removed just over two weeks ago they also removed part of my left ovary. During the night after the operation I was in so much pain in the right side ribs and my neck it was unbearable. This would come and go I was given morpheine, codeine and paracetamol all in one go which did nothing. The doctors put this down to full bladder and gas being trapped. Since the operation opening my bowels or even passing urine is extremely painful. When passing urine it s like a sharp shooting pain through the pelvic area, when opening my bowels again shooting pains through particularly the anus and Also the pelvic area. So bad I am grabbing the toilet seat. I have opened my bowels each day since the operation but I am still experiencing this pain do you know why? Many thanks
I seem to be having a dermoid cyst and will be undergoing surgery in a weeks time. Which specific doctor would I need to consult. I am aware that it needs to be a gynae but would it be anything specific within that category, it needs to be open surgery as the cyst is big and near the aorta.
I ve had a rather large dermoid cyst removed from my left ovary about 6 months ago. Since then my cycle has been very irregular (My cycle is now approx every 2 weeks and lasts a full 7 days) and I still experience some slight pain in my left side. Could the cyst have returned or is this common after surgery?
my five yr old son had two query dermoid cysts removed from scrotum. haveing mri to determine where the growths started from. discussed the possibility of having to see a neurosurgeon. he thinks may have originated in spine. all ifs just now. am very worried. how likely is this.
i had an ultasound and this is what my test said, the right ovary measures 3.4 x 2.1 x 2.9 cm and contains a 9mm Hyperechoic nodule likely a teratoma or demoid. scattered follicles are present though out the right ovary as well. the left ovary measures 4.9x 3.0 x 3.0cm and contains a cyst measuring 2.7 cm. IMPRESSIOM bilateral ovarian cysts and follicies. smal;l teratoma or dermoid in the right overy with small free fluid what dose this mean
My daughter, who is 31, was dianosed with a cyst earlier this year. The cyst was over 4 cm and needed to be removed. In April she had laproscopic surgery to remove the cyst. During the surgery he nicked the cyst, which was a dermoid cyst. My daughter suffers from chemical perontonitus as a result of the surgery. We are looking for doctors who can treat her as her treatment isn't the best right now. She is 5'10" tall and healthy, she had a previous cyst removed 11 years ago with great results. She has lost about 50 pounds since the surgery. Weighs 140 lbs.
