Hi,

Sedation caused by midazolam and fentanyl should be over by 48 hours of stopping. If still not awake, this probably suggests brain dysfunction from poor blood supply to brain during the attack. Sever attack can cause hypotension and shock which impairs blood supply to various organs. But we have to consider many other factors like age, other co-existing medical conditions, blood sugar and electrolyte values. Your doctor will discuss in more detail.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
