Hallow Mumma to be,

Usually after stripping the membranes, the labour pains start within 24 hours. If they have not started even after 2 days, the stripping may not be effective and thorough. May be the stripping may have to be repeated if initiation of labour is must at this stage, otherwise wait for the labour pains to start naturally.

You may try castor oil, there is no harm in that. May be it will help to start the labour pains by emptying rectum.

Please report to your Obstetrician about the failure of the stripping.
