What Withdrawal Symptoms To Expect After Stopping Conjugated Estrogen 1.25 Mg?

I have been taken Conjugated Estrogen 1.25 mgs for the last 5 years. I have stopped taking the medication , about 1 week ago. What withdrawel systems should I expect? Will I gain weight? Will I grow more facial hair. What should I expect. I am 52 years female. Hysterectomy 5 yrs. ago. Thank you.

Hello,

There mostly won't be any. Facial hair is as likely to be FROM estrogen (it is metabolized to testosterone) as from the withdrawal. Mostly, one might feel blah as the most common symptom.

Estrogen is not given alone as a general rule because it can increase the risk of uterine cancer unless progesterone is also given.
