What Was The Episode Of Loss Of Vision And Numbness In Hands?

I had an episode today where I seemed to see a bright light, and then for the next 30 minutes or so I had "holes" in my vision. I simply couldn't see. I broke out in a cold sweat all over to the point where my shirt was wet. I was nauseated and dizzy. My left hand went numb for about 15 - 20 minutes. I thought I might be having a migraine, but this was different than my other very infrequent migraines. Later this evening, I had my blood pressure taken, and it was 151/97. I have never had blood pressure problems in the past, so this was strange to me. I am a 46 year old female, moderately overweight, but not morbidly so. (I've actually lost 14 pounds over the last 6 months.) The loss of vision and numbness in my hand are a concern. I have felt bad all day. I was planning on going to the doctor tomorrow. Is it OK to wait?
