What Treatment Is Suggested For Itchy Red Spots On Forearms ?

I have a question around a rash that seems to come and go the past 2 weeks and mainly is seen over the forearms and odd spot on the hands. It initially started on the elbows and went away the next day thinking it was some sort of eczema. It is splotchy, red and itchy. I thought it was a contact dermatitis of some type. There is no history of known allergies nor has this problem ever occurred before. There has been the odd area show up on my leg, foot and knees only for it to erupt and go away by the end of the day. It is concerning because when the rash presents itself it doesn t look good and others may think its contagious. I have been around others and nobody else has it.

Hello,
I have gone through your history regarding having erythematous rashes on the forearms and few on the hands which comes and go.
As you expressing that you are not known allergic to any of the allergens. But your symptoms suggesting me that there may be some insect bite.
Please change your bed spreads and sun dry the blanket and the bed spreading.
If i were your treating doctor I would advised you to
1. Take Tab Antihistamines
2. Tab Cortisone
3. Maintain Proper hygiene of keeping fresh bed spreads and blankets.
Not to worry wait for another one or two days and take consultation of your dermatologist. Pl;ease free to ask any questions related to your symptoms.
Thank you
