What To Do For The Pain Under My Rib Cage And Back?
I got punched in the back 2 days ago. Right below the bottom of my rib cage on the left side of my back. Right when it happened I felt a shocking pain go down my legs, and my back has hurt REALLY bad ever since. When I bend over, sit down, stand straight up, etc. I feel immense pain!

Orthopaedic Surgeon, Joint Replacement, Dr. Mukesh Chugh's Response
Hi Thanks for writing your query After going through your suffering, the pain may be relieved by following measure along with the drugs like ibuprofen- 1. Avoiding unnecessary exercise or activities that make the symptoms worse; avoid contact sports until there is improvement in symptoms, and then return to normal activities only as tolerated. 2. Rib belt along with hot water fomentation helps. If the problem persists you may see a doctor to rule out the other possibilities. Hope this information suffices and I shall be glad to answer any further query. Take care and wish you good health Regards Dr.chugh http://bit.ly/drmchugh
