What To Do For Pain In The Knee Without Swelling Or Bruising But Sudden Burning ?
my wife fell outside on the ice onto her knee about a week an half ago. Had pain in the knee but never any bruising. tonight she fell again onto the same knee. again she had pain but no apparent swelling. about an hour and half later she got up off the couch and had a sudden burning pain and large lump appeared on the front of her knee which is very painful to the touch and with movement. should she seek emergency care tonight?

I can understand your worry she must have developed the soft tissue inflammation due to the fall, if I would be your doctor then I would put her on the following medicine,
1) Tab Diclofenac 50 mg once in day
this will give good result ask her to keep the leg well in good condition and do not bend the knee joint more than 90 degree this will come around soon have nice day.
