General Surgeon 's  Response
Hi,

The possibility of umbilical or epigastric hernia has to be ruled out here with high-resolution ultrasound examination.

Till that time,
- continue to control body weight with work up, regular walking
- strict diet control to avoid all spices, junk foods
- avoid stress
- PPI as omeprazole with antacid as Mylanta.

Discuss the need of upper GI endoscopy with your gastroenterologist during the planned follow up with him or her.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Bhagyesh V. Patel, General Surgeon
