What Symptoms Would Be A Matter Of Concern When The Head Is Hurt?

My 14 year old son has a dandy walker cyst, vp shunt from a menengocele at birth. Very high functioning. About an hour ago he was watching his father do something and had his knees in his father s desk chair. He flipped and hit the back of his head on a book case. He says his head feels tingly. Now he is asleep. He sat up for a little while and said he thinks he is OK. What should I look for? It is very hard to tell about swelling because of the way his bone structure is underneath the menengocele, which is where he hit his head. Should I take him to the dr to be sure or do you think just continue watching him and what should I be watching for with him?
