What Should I Do As My Child Is Suffering From Cough?

Hi.my child is suffering frm cough frm past one month.no fever only cough and sometimes flum came frm the nose.thickone wid yellow in colour.iam giving cough syrup it comes down but nt gng completely.after sometime it wil again increase.plz suggest what should i do?
