What Should Be Done After Accidentally Taking Two Co-amoxiclav 500 Tablets Instead Of One?

Hello Doctor,
My wife accidentally took two co-amoxiclav 500 tablets at the beginning of an antibiotic course instead of one. So far, she has not experienced any side effects. She has since reverted to one tablet. Should she stop the medication or consult a doctor?

Co-amoxiclav is remarkably safe drug.Even six tablets at a time are within the theurepeutic dose. There is no need to stop the medicine or to consult a docto just because she has teken one additional tablet accidentally.
