What Should I Do For The Uvula Infection Which Is Very Inflamed And Taking Augmentin And Prednisone Is Not Of Much Relief?
I have a uvula infection and is very inflammed, one of the worst my doctor has come across. My doctor prescribed 825mg of augmentin 10 days and 20mg of prednisone 5 days. I took 3 augmentin pills , but have not recevied any relief. When should I know if the pills are working? what are my other options ? Should I consider surgery?

hello. please relax, augmentin is a good drug for this condition and the prednisone will help reduce the swelling. dont worry, it may take 3-4 days for the swelling to come down, you will not need surgery. just keep good oral hygiene by gargling with warm salt water 5-6 times a day and continue your medications. thanks
