What Results Can Be Expected Of Montox Test After TB Treatment?

HI,I was under the medication of TB from past 6 months n it is completed now...,Since I m applying for my visa the doctor is asking me to go for montox ,sputum culture n CT scan thorax ...,my treatment is succesfully done n the x-ray has come normal n the sputum smear reports after the treatment has come negative....,wat are the probabalities of the results now of Montox test ,sputum culture n CT scan?

Hello and welcome to HCM,
Montaux test is done to know whether there is any exposure to tubercular bacilli or not.
It depends on the immune status of the person also.
An individual with exposure to tuberculosis can have negative Montaux test due to poor immunity.
Thus, in your case you can have a positive Montaux test but that proves that there is exposure to tubercular bacilli but it does not mean that you are suffering from tuberculosis.
It has to be interpreted in light of other features like X-ray chest and sputum examination.
