What Other Than Valium Can Alleviate Sharp Pain Behind The Ears Which Sometimes Radiate To Temple?

I'm having sharp pain behind my ear, that sometimes radiates to my temple. I went to the dr. and he gave me valium because he thinks I have a pinched nerve. Any other treatments that may alleviate the pain? It doesn't hurt all the time, but when it does, it really hurts!

Hi, other than valium, there are certain antidepressants like tryptomer and drugs like carbamazepine are use for such pains. But taking simple analgesic like diclofenac helps in resolving pain if the frequency of pain is very less. Regards
