What Medication Is Suggested For Mild Hepatic Steatosis ?

yes I recently had a cat scan done on my liver it says that I have mild diffuse hepatic steatosis, the main portal vein is mildly prominent measuring 16,6 mm dia and the spleen is mildly enlarge at 13.4 cm and possible portal venous hypertension shold I be concern

Hi there,
Thanks for using HCM.
As per the scan report you are having features of portal hypertension.
I would advise you to get a Doppler scan of the portal venous system and an upper GI endoscopy done to confirm portal hypertension.
This might be due to cirrhosis of liver. You might be having early cirrhosis.
A fibroscan or a liver biopsy may be done to see whether you are having cirrhosis.
Liver panel may be done which may show numbers indicating liver damage and chronic liver disease.
Alcohol intake, nonalcoholic fatty liver disease, Hepatitis B and C infection are some of the causes for chronic liver disease.
You can consult a gastroenterologist for the above mentioned tests.
