Hi Dr, My husband have had swelling in elbow, followed by knee , and then blurr vision. He have had discomfort in spinal cord and today he tells me has breathlessness + discomfort in upper part of chest . His tests last week showed that his RA factor is weakly +ve and C-protien is high.Anything to reduce his discomfort. we are still waiting for his gene test to confirm what kind of arthiritis it is.

My 21 year old daughter has had joint pain for about 3 months. She has been tested for parovirus, inflammation, bacteria, ra factor and protein abnormalities among other tests. All have been negative Her gammaglobulin is 17... which is high. She is active, works out regularly, on a university rowing team, rock climbs and snowboards. We are wondering if there could be something as far as a connective tissue disorder. My family has a history of Reiters syndrome and post reactive arthritis. We are wondering what these results may mean?

Hello, I have been taking Yasmine for a few years now. I was tested positive with both blood and protein in my urine. I am also experiencing sore/dry throat, excess thurst and polyuria. Is this caused by yasmine? For your reference I have high cholesterol/triglyceride which is believed to be genetic, and I am on fenofibrate.

I am a psychology trainee and was required to complete a PPD skin test to start working at my neuropsychology practicum site. I tested positive and I am worried that I will not be able to work at my practicum site. I have had an active respiratory infection, but the symptoms do not seem to be typical of TB from what I have read: (a) runny nose; (b) sneezing; (c) fatigue; (d) headache and other cold like symptoms. I recently had a stent at the hospital for occipital neuralgia and received 1,000 mg of IV steroids and I am worried that my immune system is compromised. I also have a spinal cord injury and CRPS II, so my body is taxed by pain and pharmacotherapies. Should I be worried?
