What Is Treatment For Hypothyroidism As Dexo And Saliva Swab Test Is Negative?
gained 70 lbs in only 3 months!
I have hypothyroid. The doctor tested me for cushings. The saliva swap test and the dexo suppression test. They came back negative. I fit the symptoms almost perfectly. Is it possible the test was wrong or could I still have it with these results. if u don't think it is this.....what other possibilities could it be? I'm desperate for an answer. I have horrible streatch marks too along with nearly all the symptoms of cushings. because of my weight I have extreem difficulty walking. please help

Was you evaluated by an endocrinologist?
The values of dexa suppression and salivary cortisol?
Are your stretch marks pink or purple / or just white?
If you still have symptoms of Cushings you should do further tests like low dose dexamethasone suppression tests and 24 hour urine free cortisol levels.
Other causes like diabetes, metabolic syndrome, un controlled hypothyroidism should be ruled out. It could be just a simple obesity due to genetic factors.
