Dear Sheri, Welcome to healthcareMagic!

Probably your son has a congenital angiomatous lesion-- most likely strawberry haemangioma. Still it cannot be diagnosed without a proper clinical examination. There are other possibilities also like portwine stain etc. You have not mentioned the site as well. Please get it examined by a Dermatologist. If it is a strawberry haemangioma, simple oral medications will be helpful. Wishing you & your babies best of health.

Hi, my newborn has a little red spot on the tip of her tongue, which looks like hemangioma but has not grown so far (she is 1 month old). I noticed it on the second day of her birth. Is it possible that she has hemangioma there and if yes what are the consequences?

Hi I have a newborn whose skin was clear and smooth however he began developing tiny red spots on his cheeks, which then spread to his neck, under his ears and now his torso. I m wondering if it is a heat rash or sensitivity to the laundry detergent?

My three month old has small flat smooth red spots appearing on his body. we thought the first was a broken blood vessel on his inner arm about half way up. But there are now three more - two on his cheeks and another on his other arm. What causes them and can we do anything? They disappear under a glass and he has no other symptoms and is eating and sleeping well.
