What Is The Treatment Of Stool Problem In Children ?

My 3 1/2 month old has been having greenish, sometimes clear watery stools for 6 days now. He acts completely fine, nursing as normal, wet diapers and everything. But he poops around 6 times a day with the stinky watery stools. He was put on azithromycin around a week and a half ago and 3 days later he started with this watery stools. I was just wondering if the antibiotics are the cause of his stools. His teeth have been bothering him also so I didn't know if that had anything to do with it too. I am not too concerned with all this except I don't know if it will eventually pass or if he needs to see his pediatrician.

Hi
Welcome to Healthcare-Magic
Greetings of the day

You are right, it's most likely to be antibiotics associated diarrhea.
Green stools are sometimes seen when the child is switched over to next breast without emptying the feeds from first one. Solution is simple completely finish milk from one breast before shifting to other.
Addition of prebiotic and continuing breast feeding will be helpful.

Take care
