What Is The Treatment For Swelling In Tonsils?

I am 42 yrs old with body weight of 74kg and height 163 cm. I got tonsillitus after consuming lemon in morning tea, about 4 cups. In the past also, whenever I take lemon , I get tonsils swelling. I have started Augmentin 625 today but I am avoiding paracetamol. I do not feel like eating, can I drink Scotch whisky about 50-100 ml to relieve pain and be able to eat. I have no history of liver or Kidney problems

Thanks for your query. I have gone through your query.
The pain in the tonsil can be because of the peritonsillar abscess. Nothing to be panic, you can continue taking augmentin, instead of going for scotch whisky, i advise you to take an analgesic like diclofenac. Taking scotch whiskey may interact with the antibiotics and may result in severe vomiting so better avoid whiskey. Do saline gargling.
I hope i have answered your query. Take care.
