Last Saturday I had sex doggy style and was slightly sore around the perineum, which is not uncommon for me after this position since I m pretty small. The next day (Sunday), I had sex again with my boyfriend in a couple positions where he was entering from behind me. It was fairly rough. By night, I was still incredibly sore and in pain with a seemingly swollen perineum. The next couple days the area was still very tender with possibly a blister but swelling seemed to go down. I had been putting neosporin, which I d done in the past for tears after sex although this felt different -- I d never gotten swelling or a blister before. Nothing else around the vagina but minor itching and a whitish yeast-like but not really chunky discharge. By Wednesday, I noticed a sore which today is nearly healed but not quite. I ve still been cleaning the area with alcohol then applying neosporin. Then, today, I seemed to have some break-through bleeding despite being on the pill. I know I am stressed and had other symptoms like TMJ recently even before last week. Could it be just a yeast infection from rough sex and stress or should I be more concerned now about herpes or other STDs? My boyfriend and I have been together for several years and this has never happened.
