What Is The Treatment For Lower Back Pain And Abdominal Pain?

31 yr old female - I have had a dull aching in my lower back, and slight pain in my abdomen for almost a week now. The pain has now moved to the lower left side of my back and I have a numbness down the whole of my left leg. The pain doesnt ease when sitting, standing or lying down and I am also bloated in the lower part of my abdomen. I have a history of ovarian cysts, PID, POD and have had my tubes removed and two operations for adhesions. I am waiting to now be refferred to a gastroentriologist as I have suffered with abdominal pain for many years although this pain I have at the moment is not a pain I've had before.

Orthopaedic Surgeon 's  Response
Dear patient you are already diagnosed with pelvic inflammatory disease which leads to both abdominal pain and back pain. Plus u have undergone abdominal surgery which might lead to adhesions of peritoneum. Since you are getting numbness in left lower limb associated with back pain Ther is possibility of nerve compression at back due to disc prolapse. Kindly get yourself investigated for mri of lumbosacral spine to rule out possibility of disc prolapse and also visit gastroenterology St to treat your abdominal pain.
