What Is The Treatment For Fever?

My 2 year old daughter had a high fever for 3 days and after that subsided she started grabbing her ears. Took her to the doctor today and she tested positive for strep. She started Amoxicillin this afternoon and when she fell asleep she has been having a temperature of 95F and is sweating.

Hello. Thank you for your question. I am sorry your daughter is not well. It is important to keep in mind that from the time we start antibiotics, it can be 2-3 days before temperature normalizes. If the temperature fluctuations continue beyond that point, it is a good idea to be re-examined. It usually is nothing serious, but it's worth the check just in case.
