I have had a pain in the middle of my chest since yesterday. It is a dull pain, but is aggravated whenever I swallow a drink or food. I thought it was heartburn, but it has lasted all night and today so far. Recently, it felt like my heart is racing. Is it heart burn or should I go to the doctor to get it checked out?
Thanks for your question on Healthcare Magic. I can understand your concern. Since your pain is more with food intake, possibility of hert burn is more. So avoid hot and spicy food. Take pantoprazole (antacid) on empty stomach twice daily. Avoid large meals, instead take frequent small meals. You will mostly improve with all these in 2-3 days. If not improving then consult doctor. Hope I have solved your query. I will be happy to help you further. Wish you good health. Thanks.
