I started a couple of sneezes then a drippy nose during the day on Friday 3/8 By evening I was very achie . I took Alkaselser Plus and Tylenol. Did sleep well that night Saturday, I started taking an allergy pill every 6 hrs. Dried up my nose and I slept much better that night. I am very week and tired. Seen Dr on Tuesday, she prescribed Benzonatate to suppress my cough. Which I didn t have. I only coughed to keep the Flem from developing in my lungs. It didn t keep me up at night. I didn t have a cough. I made my self cough. Achies gone on Wednesday. Stopped the Alkaselser. Kept up the tylenol and the alergy pill only at night. The Benzonatate 3 times a day on Wednesday. Today is thursday. I am so weak and tired. A cough has develped. More like a chest cough now. When I finally get flem up it is solid mass and yellow. Here is my question I don t think it was the right med.to perscribed. I don t think I want to supress my cough. Do I?
Hi you have a lung infection along with alergy. Your was initially allergic in origin , now its because of infection. Your initial medicine is right but you have taken irregular treatment. So now you may need antibiotics with mucolytics to reduce cough. So do consult pulmonologist and take treatment.
