What Is The Sharp Pain Between My Shoulder Blades?

When stretching my back the other day, I felt a sharp pain between my shoulder blades followed by so much pressure, I couldn't yake a breath to speak. The pain is concentrated between my spine and right shoulder blade. The pain worsens when standing or sitting for too long, or deep breaths.

Hello!

Welcome on HCM!

I carefully read your question and would explain that your symptoms are related to a musculo-skeletal pain from overstretching.

Coming to this point, I would recommend having some rest and taking some painkillers (acetaminophen, ibuprofen, ketoprofen, etc.).

A muscle relaxant (flexeril) would also be helpful, coupled with a good massage of this region to relive the muscle spasm.

Hope to have been helpful!

Kind regards, Dr. Aida
