What Is The Remedy To Deal With Diarrhea And Fever Caused As A Result Of Reattachment Of A Portion Of Bowels To Intestine?

my son had surgery for a twisted bowel about 4 weeks ago - they removed a portion of the bowel and re-attached it to his intestine. The surgery went fine but he got an some type of infection which produced high fevers for about 3 days.He spent 2 weeks in the hospital (was a very sick young (37) man for quite a few days. Has been home now for a few weeks and has both good and bad days. Diet seems to be a problem. Diarreah is a constant and there a many foods that he is finding do not agree with him such as meats,yogurts,and any dairy products. Any suggestions?

Hi,I had read your query and according there may be two reasons for this:
1)When removed portion of bowel , how long is not mentioned by you, so, if portion is more than 5 or 6 feet then cause of diarrhea is removal of intestine that will be corrected after 1-2 years itself and in the mean time you should care of deficiency of multi-minerals like magnesium, sodium, potassium and follow up monthly .
2)This may be due to infection then put him on tablet XXXX -200mg + XXXX -500mg twice a day and capsule pre and pro biotic (XXXX ) thrice a day and capsule XXXX (XXXX -100mg) twice a day for five days and follow up me after five days.
