What Is The Remedy For The Pain In My Ankle After An Injury?

Hi doctor,
I got hit by cricket ball on my left ankle and it's bruised now , I went to the doctor and he moved my foot up and down and I could put weight on it as well , so he suggested it's not a break but he didn't take xray , he gave me anti inflammatory and said have rest for few days and if doesn't get better than come back and he will have X-ray , after getting hit by cricket ball I kept playing for another 3 hours like running and all but after that pain just got me really bad , what do you suggest I should do ? Thanks

Hello dear,

The symptoms as mentioned in your post can be attributed to musculo-skeletal injury.

Symptomatic relief can be obtained by application of ice, analgesic & muscle relaxant gel, intake of analgesics like Diclofenac (to be taken after food) + Pantoprazole (to be taken 30 minutes before meals).
Supplements of Calcium & Vitamin D can be included in his diet which will help in strengthening of bones.
Physiotherapy exercise will also be helpful.

If there is no relief, kindly get an X ray done as advised by your Doctor.

There is no need to worry, you will be fine.
Till then, maintain adequate hydration & nutrition status, take proper rest and avoid stress.
