General Surgeon 's  Response
Hi,

The most common cause of such symptoms is edema that developed in the nose and respiratory passage due to a reaction, viral or bacterial infection. I would advise the following:
- Use pediatric decongestant nasal drops when needed and not on regular basis
- Oral decongestant
- Antibiotic if bacterial infection is suspected or found and needs a valid prescription
- Also, give multivitamin supplements if the problem is recurrent
Do not worry, she will recover very fast.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. T. Chandrakant, General Surgeon
