What Is The Recurrent Swelling And Lump In The Groin?

I m a Male 54 yrs of age. My left groin area is slightly swollen and has been for 6 months. The swelling goes from the testi (which has been diagnosed with a spermatocile via an ultrasound), and extends approximately 3 along the line between the leg & abdomen. I ve been told it is not lymph nodes or a hernia. Sports does not affect the amount of swelling or cause pain. Near the testi, where the swelling starts, there is a small movable lump that can be pushed downward into the testi. I was wondering if that lump, which is normally found in the testi, up near the base of the penis, could be blocking some kind of fluid flow and causing the swelling? I ve had a couple of cat Scans before and am reluctant to have another one due to the radiation.

hi.

it is best if you consult with a urologist with regards to your spermatocoele as it might be progressing. you will not be exposed to any radiation on ultrasonographic examination. further diagnostic modalities and management will be directed accordingly.

hope this helps.

good day!!
