What Is The Reason Of Green Discharge From Nipple?
Well him my name is jasmin. I have a question my mom is 45 years old and last Friday she noticed that a green liquid was comming out of her nipple and she is shared and she thinks that it might be breast cancer but I want to know can it be breast cancer?
Since your mom is having greenish nipple discharge it can be a sign that there is a breast cyst underneath the nipple and areola area that is spontaneously draining. This can be further evaluated with breast imaging studies, such as ultrasound. But if this discharger turns bloody in colour a papilloma is suspected. This wart-like group inside the duct irritates the tissue, producing the reddish discharge. This can also be a symptom of breast cancer, so proper evaluation is recommended. I would suggest u do Bilateral mammography for your mom and if any space occupying lesion is found then do biopsy and immunohistochemistry test from that. Regards DR De
