What Is The Reason For The Delayed Periods Since Three Months With HPT Negative?

Hi I HAD my last period oct15,2013-0ct17,2013 but no period in November none Dec tell like after Christmas n I have bleeding but no blood clods like my other periods so now its almost the end of January and no period yes I ve taken hpt but all negative I also feel

Hi,

If your HPT is negative, other causes of delayed period could be due to emotional stress, or physical illness, hormonal disorders like thyroid disease or high prolactin levels, extreme physical activities, change of job, or certain diseases of the ovary like polycystic ovarian syndrome. I advise you to consult a gynecologist to rule out the above conditions and to induce bleeding by prescribing Norethisterone.

Apart from pregnancy delayed periods could be due to emotional stress, change in job or dietary habits, heavy exercise, hormonal disorders like thyroid disease or increased prolactin levels, certain diseases of the ovary like polycystic ovarian syndrome.
