Hello vijayakrishna;
welcome to HealthcareMagic
The dose of Cefuroxime that is Ceftum is 30-100 mg/kg body weight so a dose of 500 mg twice a day is proper and safe.It belongs to cephalosporine group which is safe in pregnancy so it is commonly prescribed for severe infections.
Thanks

Infertility Specialist Dr. Nandita Thakkar's  Response
Greetings!
It seems you have urine infection
Its a common condition in pregnancy especially in the second and thirds trimester
You can safely take Ceftum -( Cefuroxime)
Noramlly prescribed as as 40 to 100 mgs/kg. That would work to about 500mgs twice a day for an adult of average weight
This group of medicaton is safe in pregnancy
However if you are allergic to penecillin or cephalosporin group - you have to inform the doctor before you take this medication
